In the coming days, the ICC will announce awards and teams of the year.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) will begin announcing the 2022 ICC Awards winners on Monday, January 23, and they will do so over the next four days.

On Monday, the ICC would announce the Men’s and Women’s T20 International teams of the year. On Tuesday, they would also announce the Men’s and Women’s ODI teams, as well as the ICC Men’s Test Team of the Year.

The awards for ICC Emerging Men’s and ICC Emerging Women’s Cricketer of the Year, ICC Men’s Associate Cricketer of the Year, ICC Women’s Associate Cricketer of the Year, and ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year would be announced on Wednesday.

The ICC Spirit of Cricket Award, ICC Umpire of the Year, ICC Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Year, ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year, ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year, Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy for ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year, and ICC Spirit of Cricket Award would be announced on Thursday.

For the first time, three Pakistani cricketers received ICC awards last year. Muhammad Rizwan was named T20I Cricketer of the Year, Babar Azam was named ODI Cricketer of the Year, and Shaheen Shah Afridi was named Cricketer of the Year.

Due to his outstanding performances across all formats, Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam is favored to win the Cricketer of the Year award this year, while Muhammad Rizwan is once again up for the T20I Cricketer of the Year award.
