Senior Hurriyat leader Prof. Abdul Ghani Bhat passes away in IIOJK

Srinagar: Senior Hurriyat leader and one of Kashmir’s most fearless voices, Professor Abdul Ghani Bhat, has passed away in the Sopore area of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

His representative in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, Zahid Safi, confirmed the demise, stating that Professor Bhat left behind a legacy of unwavering commitment to the Kashmir freedom movement. A towering figure and a true leader, he dedicated every moment of his life to the cause of Kashmir’s self-determination.

Safi added that Professor Bhat was not only a distinguished political leader but also an intellectual guide whose speeches and writings served as a beacon of light for the Kashmiri people. His vision, wisdom, and steadfast resolve will be remembered for generations to come.

Professor Bhat’s lifelong struggle forms a golden chapter in the history of Kashmir’s freedom movement. The people of Kashmir have prayed for his elevated place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and pledged to continue his mission with renewed determination.
