Over fifty nations with ships, aircraft, Special Operations Forces Marine (SOFM) teams, and observers are participating in the five-day exercise.

There are harbor and sea phases to the exercise.

It aims to make a place where maritime concepts and operational cultures can be discussed, interoperability can be improved, and common sea threats can be addressed.

In the meantime, the Expo Centre in Karachi will host the inaugural Pakistan International Maritime Expo & Conference today.

Vice admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami, Pakistan Navy fleet commander, told the media at a briefing that the exercise will take place in Karachi between February 10 and 14.

Aman 2023 will be held in two parts—at sea and in the harbor.

There will be around 50 different nations’ air assets, special operations forces, and naval vessels involved.

A series of training exercises to combat terrorism, piracy, narco-arms trafficking, and climate change will be included in the most recent version of the exercise.

The Aman series of exercises, which began in 2007, will host their eighth such event at Aman 23.

In order to further bolster and preserve regional stability, this series of exercises aims to improve multinational maritime forces’ cooperation and interoperability.
