ISLAMABAD: The 16th meeting of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board was held on Thursday at the CDA Headquarters, chaired by Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The meeting was attended by members of the CDA Board and relevant officers. Several agenda items were discussed in the 16th meeting of the CDA Board.
According to details, the 16th meeting of the CDA Board approved the decision to waive off charges for grave digging and coffin carrier bus services to provide relief and facilities to the citizens of Islamabad. The purpose of this decision is to provide citizens with all possible relief and facilities during their time of grief. In this regard, the Chairman CDA directed that more coffin carrier buses be provided to the graveyards of Islamabad.
The 16th meeting of the CDA Board also decided on important measures to further improve the standard of the Capital Hospital. The meeting discussed various proposals for revenue generation plan for the CDA Hospital and specifically decided to revise the current fee structure for private patients at the Capital Hospital under the Institutional Based Private Practice (IBPP). Chairman CDA said that the revenue generated from the hospital’s revenue generation plan should be spent on the improvement and provision of facilities at the hospital. He directed that new and modern computers and equipment be provided to digitize the Capital Hospital and for the cashless system.
The CDA Board meeting also considered the CDA Internship Policy 2025. The meeting decided to hire graduates from Pakistan’s top universities for internships at the CDA. Chairman CDA said that under the internship policy, graduates from top public and private universities in Pakistan will be selected transparently and on merit. He said that this would not only fulfill the human resource requirements across all CDA formations but also provide a workforce fully equipped with modern skills.
The meeting approved the allocation of space for the establishment of an ANF office adjacent to the New Islamabad International Airport. Similarly, the meeting decided to approve, in accordance with rules and regulations, the request for land allocation for the construction of a police station in Islamabad.
The CDA Board meeting decided to send a proposal to the Federal Government for approval to name the Service Road (East) in Sector F-10, Islamabad, after national athlete “Arshad Nadeem Road.”
The meeting approved, in accordance with rules and regulations, the rental agreement with the Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) for the use of the landfill site for Islamabad’s municipal solid waste management. The meeting also approved an extension in the service period of the Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) for transporting solid waste from Islamabad’s waste transfer stations (I-9, I-11 and any other sites) to the dumping site on Chak Beli Khan Road, Rawalpindi.
The CDA Board meeting approved the adoption of the rules and procedure for the upgradation of Statistical Assistant employees in Grade 15 and 16 of the Authority, in accordance with the Finance Division ‘s Office Memorandum dated 16.12.2019.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, while directing ensuring transparency and accountability in the implementation of all decisions, said that the construction and development of Islamabad, providing the best facilities to citizens, and beautification are among the top priorities of the CDA, and all available resources are being utilized for this purpose.
