Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has warmly welcomed the signing of the Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, terming it a historic milestone and the beginning of a new chapter in bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations.The Speaker extended heartfelt congratulations to the leadership and peoples of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on this landmark agreement, noting that the entire Pakistani nation takes pride in the vision and statesmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the strategic foresight of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, who have played a pivotal role in strengthening Pakistan’s defense and reinforcing ties with Saudi Arabia.
He emphasized that the Government and people of Pakistan hold the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the highest esteem, adding that Pakistan is proud to have contributed to the protection of the Holy Sites and the security of Saudi Arabia. Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq further stated that Saudi Arabia has always stood as a sincere friend and trusted brother of Pakistan. He remarked that the defence agreement is a true symbol of the deep-rooted brotherhood and will serve to further consolidate the bonds of friendship.
The Speaker underscored that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are joint pillars of strength for Islam and peace, and their alliance is unbreakable and will remain steadfast, Insha’Allah.He congratulated Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for laying a renewed foundation of trust and fraternity between the two nations. He stressed that the Strategic Defence Agreement is a historic step to make Pakistan’s defence impregnable, strengthen bilateral relations, and promote peace and stability in the region. The Speaker also said that the people of Pakistan take pride in the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his dedicated efforts in ensuring the country’s security and defense He reiterated that Pakistan is the hope of the Muslim Ummah and will continue to safeguard its unity, defence, and prosperity. He expressed confidence that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Filed Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will achieve new milestones of progress, prosperity, and brotherhood.
