Mysterious suicides of four Los Angeles sheriff’s officials in 48 hours spark controversy

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported the tragedy as four current or former employees were found dead last Monday and Tuesday، These deaths were being investigated as suicide.

The incidents, which have nothing to do with each other, include the death of a captain at Suggs’ residence on Monday morning، A retired deputy was found dead in the Antelope Valley later that day.

In addition, a concentration assistant, identified as a prison official, was found dead in the Santa Clarita area on Monday. Earlier Tuesday, a deputy working in prison was found irresponsible at home, and later pronounced dead at a Pomona hospital.

Although all cases are considered suicides, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet confirmed the cause of death.

In respect of the family, the sheriff’s office has not disclosed the names of the dead. The department expressed deep sorrow over the losses and emphasized the shocks of family sentiment throughout the department.

Sheriff Robert Luna highlighted the collective struggle to deal with the tragic events and noted the profound effects of losing not only one but four lovely members of his team.
