PM’s visit to Turkiye ‘postponed’

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Turkiye is said to have been postponed.

Mr. Sharif was supposed to travel to Turkiye on Wednesday to visit the areas affected by the earthquake, according to government sources.

According to sources, the PM’s visit’s new schedule will be announced soon. Additionally, the visit has been postponed due to rehabilitation work in earthquake-affected areas.

Due to the prime minister’s visit to Turkiye to show solidarity with the brotherly nation that was struck by a deadly earthquake on Monday, an All-Parties Conference scheduled for February 9 was postponed for the second time.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari was scheduled to accompany the prime minister on the trip. In addition to traveling to the quake-ravaged regions, he was scheduled to attend meetings in the Turkish capital of Ankara.
