Sanaullah hopeful that alliance with MQM-P to help PML-N get 3-4 seats in Karachi

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah has said that three to four candidates of his party have split from Karachi in the next general election United National Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), The News reported Friday.

His comments came after the announcement by the Muslim League and the MQMP that they would jointly run in the February 8 elections.

Thursday Program ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada kay Sath’، Sanaullah said that many things remain to be decided but MQM-P will give place to the Muslim League where its candidates can succeed.

“We will strengthen the Muslim League in Balochistan,” he said, He added that seats in some quarters of the province could be adjusted and his party was ready to seek help or assistance if needed.

“A hangs parliament after election will add to the country’s problems،” He warned and said that the future government should get at least a simple majority.

He said that the situation in the country calls for a broad-based agreement on policies and all other parties to get the country out of crisis whatever the next government will form Will have to take along. He said that the Muslim League (N) faced the worst situation in 2018 but nevertheless won 64 seats from Punjab in 2018.

“ We proved our popularity on October 21 and we will prove it again in the next election. In 2013, we won 117 seats from Punjab, and this time we will get more seats in Punjab than in 2013, ” they continued. Sanaullah said that there are 46 seats in southern Punjab out of which 35 are clearly Muslim League N and they will get a majority there.

The former minister made it clear that his party did not intend to merge with the Pakistan Muslim League leader (PML-Q) but was ready for a seat adjustment.

“Nawaz Sharif also intends to meet Chaudhry Shujaat. The Muslim League Q can be given a place in Gujarat. He has no such thing as withdrawing from the party but we are ready to adjust him.

The leader of the Muslim League said that he has fulfilled his promise by giving tickets to the MPs who voted for his party in the by-elections. He said that there is no offer of seat adjustment from the stable Pakistan party.

“ They want to field their candidates in all constituencies and they have every right to do so, ” he added.

“ Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may have set adjustment with Fazlur Rehman but not much hope. We have a very good relationship with Fazal-ur-Rehman, Asif Zardari and Balul Bhutto. The People’s Party (Pakistan People’s Party) and the Muslim League will fight elections against each other but there is no animosity between us. The Muslim League and the People’s Party are not trying to destroy each other۔
