Canberra: Sarfraz Ahmed Pir tried to clear up any misunderstandings among senior players after the change of roles, Babar Azam is taking a keen interest in the team and his friendship with captain Sean Masood is a good thing.

Pakistan is currently in Canberra to play a 4-day match against Australian PM XI before the three-match Test series against Australia.

The former captain said this when asked about the chemistry between the senior players and the new captain.

“Sean Masood is taking all the players very well and he has a good relationship with Muhammad Hafeez. Babar’s character was also great as I saw in the camp. He is very involved in the team and he helps the captain plan for the team.”

He also called it a good sign that a former captain is helping his successor build the team.

Asked about his personal goal, Sarfraz Ahmed said that everyone has an individual goal but when he leaves Pakistan the team intends to play good cricket here Was.

“Our goal is to win the series while maintaining the best performance in individual betting and whatever opportunity is given. When you play cricket, you are ready for whatever role is given to you. Rizwan and I will try to fulfill whatever role is given to us.”

The right-handed batsman called the opponent “towards a high standard” and vowed to play best against him.

“Australia is always tough at home. Will try to give them a hard time. Our team is very good and will play good cricket.”

About David Warner who is playing his last series, the former captain of Pakistan sent his best wishes to the cricketer.

“We’ll try to get it out as soon as possible, we’ll try not to let it get off to a good start.”
