WhatsApp allows iOS users to send photos, videos as documents

BetaInfo reports that Meta-owned WhatsApp has announced a much-needed feature for iOS users that will allow them to send media files as documents.

According to WhatsApp News Tracker, the “Send as Document” feature is being widely introduced to all users in the coming weeks.

Users will now be able to send photos and videos as documents while maintaining the original quality of the files. It also allows iOS users to send media directly without having to follow a number of steps.

To use this feature, you only need to open the chat share sheet, “Document” Tap and then select “Image or Video” to send the files to their original quality.

The official change log says this feature will be available to all users in the coming weeks. People who install the latest WhatsApp update from the App Store can use this feature.

Recently, WhatsApp has submitted a new update for the iOS version، With which comes the feature of allowing channel owners to invite new administrators.

Enhancement is designed to provide channel owners with advanced administrative control and better delegation capabilities.

Channel owners will be able to assign administrative privileges to selected contacts for their channels, which will have the flexibility to invite 15 contacts for the role of admin.

However, the designated contact must accept the invitation before gaining administrative access to the channel.

WhatsApp News Tracker said that after accepting the invitation, the new administrators will have the ability to edit the necessary details of the channel including name, icon and description.
